![]() In mid-2019, the Used signed to their long-time friend and producer John Feldmann's record label Big Noise. Now i understand why this game is only 8$ during Steam Sale, too bad i can't refund the game.Heartwork is the eighth studio album by American rock band The Used. While this is a positive point, it simply isn't enough to compensate for the game's other shortcomings. The music also manages to capture the right mood, enhancing the overall atmosphere of the game. The visuals are decent, providing an acceptable level of immersion into the SAO universe. ![]() One aspect that manages to shine amidst the disappointments is the music and graphics. It's perplexing that a game with such rich source material fails to deliver engaging quests that capture the spirit of Sword Art Online. With only two types of quests-collecting a set number of monster drops or slaying a specific number of monsters-the gameplay quickly devolves into monotony. The quest board, a central component of any RPG, turns out to be a bore in Hollow Realization. But the worst part is the persistent crashes and freezes during gameplay. Moreover, the game can't seem to decide between full screen and windowed mode, causing constant disruptions each time the game is launched. ![]() The keyboard and mouse controls are a disaster, often leading to accidental character screen openings during intense fights. It's disheartening to pay $50 for what essentially amounts to a lackluster transition. The most glaring issue is that the PC version feels like nothing more than an emulator of the original console release. Unfortunately, my experience with the PC version has left me deeply frustrated and wondering why Bandai Namco delivered such a subpar offering. ![]() ![]() As both a Sword Art Online enthusiast and a dedicated RPG gamer, I was eagerly looking forward to immersing myself in the virtual world of Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization. ![]()
